Kat and I decided to let the wind blow us a little, you know the drill, do we go left or right today? This reel is a quick reflection on an amazing week together. You just never know what’s around the corner in Far North Queensland, it is quite wild country, lush, full of wildlife and adventure. We saw a snake a day, some crocs, plenty of birdlife including my first ever sighting of a Cassowary in the wild. A spot of fishing delivered Kat her first Barra and the outback hot springs was one to remember. We walked the rim of an ancient volcano crater and amongst the towering trees in World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. We covered some 2500 kms, stopping when we felt like it, very little was booked online, but rather we opted for the old school walk-in and inspect approach until we found somewhere that we felt right for us to rest our head. We stayed above pubs with shared bathroom facilities for $90 a night, to cabins on the beach, to even treating ourselves at a fancy 5 star resort in Port Douglas, which ironically had the largest snake we saw - lucky Outback Jack the snake wrangler was around. Cape Tribulation had certainly taken a battering from the recent floods, and our thoughts go out to the residents and struggling tourism operators up that way. We managed to enjoy a few rainforest walks and dropped in on our @climateforce844 friends and to see our sponsored trees growing up. I added a few more 360 photos to my Google Maps profile, which now has around 1300+ 360 photos and had over 43 million views… it’s both a hobby and a mission to keep this up, but I do enjoy capturing the scenes and adding them to the grid. All in all, it was a wonderful way to celebrate our second wedding anniversary with my beautiful wife. #makingmemories #fnq #DaintreeRainforest

Sally and Matt's Wedding Guest Tribute, April 1 2024 Wonderland Uluwatu, Bali, Indonesia, I am so thankful to all the amazing family and friends that contributed their rendition of the Dirty Dancing 80s Classic "I've had the time of my life" - you are all superstars. Their surprise gift was shared with the bride and groom, and all of their guest, on their wedding night in Bali I loved piecing this together for my sister Sally and husband Matt. During the process I was fortunate to connect with so many of their guests. Over 50 videos were submitted from around the globe, which demonstrates just how much their family and friends love them. ZoZo was 12 on this beautiful, soul filling Daddy Day. Zoe prefers to let the wind blow her a little on her daddy days, and doesn't plan as much as the other kids. This does create a sense of freedom, but also can put a little pressure on her choosing her wild card by 12:00noon. Zoe is the artistic one of the family, this could be painting, the theatre etc. She can doubt herself, but it's my job to ensure she sees her amazing potential. Life is always interesting with Zoe, and I do enjoy sharing her way of seeing the world. I decided to see if Zoe would like to hear what her spirits thought of her world, so for my wild card I organised a Tarot reading... Zoe had no idea what that was, but was soon filling with energy after her reading. Donk paid a visit and seeing her childhood TV stars #operationouch live of stage was a real buzz for ZoZo. ZoZo's Daddy Day 2023 - The future, the past, the present
Keira's (10) motto is to go hard, she is a little kelpie and it is important to take her out for a run. She likes to jam as much as possible into her Daddy Days, and it leaves you exhausted at the end. But what also comes with spending a one-on-one day with Keira is a whole lot of love. She spent time before her daddy day preparing little gifts for me, that warmed my heart each time she presented one. Somehow we ticked off everything on her list, from Pony rides, to handfuls of lollies, to Cat Cafes to swims in the local pool... just to name a few. She loved my wild card and it was a big highlight of the day. Keira took out the 2023 TGTV Award for Best Picture for this performance, voted by the people at the TGTV Movie night at Mundoo. Strap in, this Daddy Day is filled with activities and love.

Patch is now 10 and I've noticed a big growth in his confidence. There's those proud dad moments when you see your little lad willing to stretch himself to grow. I've always picked up on his desire to sail a big ship, a bit like the pirate Jack Sparrows, so I organised for him to take the wheel of an amazing sailing boat. Throw in other activities like go-carting, the fringe festival, a dimmie feast, just name a few and you had a jammed packed day of making some amazing memories. There were lot's of firsts on this Daddy Day, and that's what they are all about. Spending time, trying new things and having a laugh together. There is something about spending time with Sammie that warms the soul, she is who thoughtful. This time Sammie planned the perfect wild card and also managed to get me to get my nails done after a well placed bet in mini golf. Sammie was 13 in the this adventure, and growing up so fast, so I wanted to sprinkle a little inspiration in her quietly competitive spirit. Harrison, turned 13 this year and has been showing a big interest in big machinery, driving and bikes. It was important to pick a Daddy Day theme that was in line with such interests. What I can tell you is that a big bucket list item was ticked off on this epic Daddy Day and the day was finished off with Steak of his choice, but it has a twist, he chose to have it at home. Harrison's Daddy Day 2023 - Military Experience
3000km, 3 Generations of Gentles and a bus... what could possibly go wrong? Our mission was to deliver Rocky the Think Digital Coach, from Adelaide over to the Perth, so @ThinkDigitalStudios could deliver the Woolworths Fresh Food Kids Discovery Tour Activation at the Perth Royal Show. I put my hand up to drive Rocky across, as I hadn't taken on the Nullarbor before. I asked Dad and my little man Patch to join the adventure. They were both keen. We had a few bucket list items, including taking on the World's Longest Golf course the Nullarbor Links, catching the Whales at the Head of the Bight, having a campfire and cooking damper, visiting Lucky Bay in Esperance and fishing somewhere in amazing. Making memories is a big part of my life, if we don't have memories, what do we have? Capturing them and publishing them on @timgentle TGTV for family and friends to enjoy is a little hobby of mine (or an obsession). I believe that one day, when I am old, I will revisit all these videos time and time again, to relive the memories, and I hope my kids do too. So with Rocky filled up, we departed Adelaide and would soon find out, it wasn't going to be all smooth sailing. #makingmemories #timgentle #tgtv
Gentle's Nullarbor Bus Adventure
It's a simple equation {mates+trails+effort}=results. We've been following this for over 20 years now. When Wang, EB and TG gathered at Wilson Prom National Park on Saturday 6th May, 2023 to celebrate 20 years since DWAC started embarking on some crazy trail runs, we were straight back into our old shenanigans. We won the meat raffle the night before (although we opted for the fruit and veggie box) and during the 28km trail run, we shared stories, we hurt together, we laughed together, but most importantly, we started and finished together. DWAC stands for Dedicated Wilderness Adventure Club. It is a sub-culture and really just a great excuse to head into nature to share some good times with your mates. Trail running is just one of those activities. This video is a recap of our adventure. Time 3:29.00 - 28km trail It contains of some ADULT LANGUAGE, parental supervision recommended.
